    2. Formula development and sampling


    Laboratory research and development


    Powder processing: Airflow crushing or ball milling technology is used to process talc powder, titanium dioxide and other powders, ensuring that the particles are fine and uniform, and avoiding agglomeration.


    Color code matching: By accurately matching the customer's specified color code with color paste or natural pigments, test the color consistency under different lighting conditions (natural light/cold light/warm light).


    Formula optimization: adjust the proportion of oil phase (silicone oil, squalane) and water phase, balance concealer power and ductility, and add oil control ingredients (such as kaolin) or moisturizing ingredients (hyaluronic acid).


    Sample Testing

    Provide 5-10g samples for customers to test, evaluate the makeup effect (fit, durability, luster), odor, and irritation to the skin, and adjust the formula based on feedback.


    3. Raw material procurement and testing


    Core raw material screening

    Select cosmetic grade powders (such as spherical nylon powder to enhance smoothness), emulsifiers (to ensure oil-water phase stability), sunscreens (if SPF value is required), and require suppliers to provide MSDS and quality inspection reports.


    Key detection

    Conduct heavy metal (lead, arsenic), microbial, and particle size distribution testing on the powder; Perform anti-corrosion challenge testing on liquid components to ensure the safety of the product during its shelf life.


    4. Production process


    Matrix preparation


    Oil phase mixing: Heat the oil, wax, and emulsifier to 80 ℃ and stir evenly.


    Water phase preparation: Dissolve moisturizing agents, preservatives, and active ingredients in deionized water and heat to the same temperature.


    Emulsification homogenization: after the water oil phase is mixed, a stable lotion is formed by high-speed shearing (2000-3000rpm) of a vacuum emulsification machine, and the temperature is controlled below 60 ℃ to avoid powder agglomeration.


    Powder dispersion and mixing

    Use a three roll grinder or high-speed disperser to evenly disperse the powder into the matrix, ensure no particle feeling, and test the concealer force and transparency.


    Sponge core treatment

    The sponge shall be tested for absorption to ensure that each sponge absorbs the same amount of liquid foundation (usually 15-25g), and the pre soaking time shall be controlled within 2-4 hours to reach the saturation state.


    Assembly and Filling


    After sterilization of powder box and sponge (UV or EO sterilization), inject liquid foundation into sponge through quantitative filling machine.


    Assemble accessories such as powder puff and mirror to ensure sealing (tested for no leakage under 50kPa pressure).


    5. Quality inspection and compliance


    Process Quality Control


    Each batch is tested for pH value (5.5-7.0), viscosity (3000-8000cps), and color difference value (Δ E ≤ 1.5).


    Conduct a 45 ℃ high-temperature accelerated aging test (28 days) to observe for discoloration, delamination, or mold growth.


    Finished product testing

    Entrust a third-party organization to conduct toxicology testing (acute transdermal toxicity, eye irritation) and sun protection factor (SPF/PA) testing (if necessary) to ensure compliance with the "Technical Safety Standards for Cosmetics".
