  • The portable moisturizing spray has become the choice of many consumers for their daily skin care because of its convenient use and easy carrying. For cosmetic brands, finding a suitable OEM factory can ensure product quality and improve supply chain efficiency. This article provides a reference for brand owners from two dimensions: evaluation methods and cooperation processes.

1、 Four key points for evaluating contract factories

    1. Qualifications and Production Environment

The brand should conduct on-site visits to the factory to verify whether its cosmetics production license, pollutant discharge permit, and other licenses are complete. Pay attention to whether the air purification level in the production workshop and the cleanliness of the filling workshop meet the standards for skincare production. A standardized production environment is the foundation of product safety.

    2. Equipment and process capabilities

Check whether the filling equipment of the factory has the functions of automatic metering and anti drip, which directly affects the atomization effect of spray. At the same time, understanding whether it has a reverse osmosis pure water treatment system, emulsification homogenization equipment, etc., determines the fineness and stability of the material. The factory can be requested to display production records of similar products.

    3. Quality Management System

Inquire whether the factory has established multiple quality control processes such as raw material incoming inspection, semi-finished product sampling inspection, and finished product outgoing inspection. View the execution records of microbial testing and stability testing (such as heat and cold resistance tests). Attention: Reliable factories will provide third-party testing reports, not just verbal promises.

    4. Matching samples with production capacity

The factory is required to sample 2-3 times, and observe the consistency of each sample in terms of spray head pressing feel, spray volume, fog surface range, etc. Simultaneously calculate whether its daily production capacity meets the expected order volume of the brand, in order to avoid supply shortages in the later stage.

2、 Portable water replenishing spray OEM customized cooperation process

    Step 1: Requirements Communication

The brand direction factory provides information such as product positioning, target audience, budget range, etc. For example: spray capacity (30ml/50ml/100ml), material efficiency (water supplement/soothing/oil control), packaging material (aluminum bottle/plastic bottle). Both parties sign a confidentiality agreement to protect the brand formula design.

Step 2: Formula development and sampling

The factory recommends basic formulas based on demand, and the brand proposes adjustment suggestions. It usually takes 2-4 weeks to complete the sampling, during which tests such as material pH value, viscosity, and anti-corrosion challenges will be conducted. After receiving the samples, the brand side conducts skin feeling evaluation and spray test.

Step 3: Packaging selection and trial assembly

After determining the material body, the brand side selects the spray head and bottle body from the bottle type catalogue provided by the factory, or provides the packaging itself. The factory carries out small batch trial assembly to verify the suitability of the spray head and the bottle body, so as to ensure smooth pressing and no liquid leakage.

Step 4: Signing the Contract and Filing

Both parties shall specify the delivery cycle, payment method, and acceptance criteria (such as allowable defect rate). The factory assists the brand in completing the registration of non cosmetics products, submitting materials such as formulas, packaging, and testing reports.

Step 5: Mass production and quality inspection

The factory produces according to the contract schedule and keeps samples for each batch for future reference. The brand can entrust a third-party to conduct on-site inspections or request the factory to provide batch inspection reports. Pay close attention to whether the deviation of filling volume is within the allowable range (such as ± 3%).

Step 6: Delivery and after-sales service

After the product is delivered, the brand conducts a random inspection upon receipt. During the duration of the cooperation, the factory should retain the formula and production records for at least two years for quality traceability.

    3、 Reminder:

It is recommended to choose small batch trial production (500-1000 pieces) for the first batch of orders, and increase the quantity after observing market feedback.

Avoid choosing factories solely based on price, as low quotes may correspond to dilution of raw materials or unauthorized reduction of processes.

The ownership of intellectual property rights is specified in the contract, especially the spray head structure developed by the brand itself.

Finding a suitable OEM factory is like finding a partner. Through on-site inspections, sample comparisons, and contractual constraints, brands can gradually establish a reliable production chain. Behind each bottle of spray is the coordination between the material body and packaging materials, as well as the tacit understanding between the brand and the factory. By carefully screening and working together steadfastly, products can naturally go further.
