Find a factory to customize and process essence water. What conditions and materials are needed to produce your own cosmetics
As a brand company, we have cooperated with cosmetics factories to develop essence water as a client. Essence water is usually managed as ordinary cosmetics and should be filed before marketing; If special efficacy is claimed, special cosmetics registration is required. To produce their own products, both the brand and the factory must meet the corresponding conditions.
Firstly, the brand owner must possess legal entity qualifications. A business license is required, covering the sales of cosmetics or brand management. If filing on your own, you need to open an account on the cosmetics registration platform and appoint a quality and safety manager. The person in charge must possess professional knowledge and regulatory knowledge related to cosmetics, and be responsible for product quality and safety. When there are no suitable personnel, capable institutions can be entrusted or support can be negotiated with the factory, but the responsibility still lies with the filer.
Secondly, prepare the trademark and authorization documents. Use your own trademark and provide a trademark registration certificate or acceptance notice; Using someone else's trademark requires an authorization letter. The product name must comply with naming conventions, and cannot express or imply medical effects, nor use guarantee or commitment words.
Thirdly, prepare product documentation. Including formula, ingredient names and content ranges, raw material safety information, execution standards, production processes, specifications, shelf life, and storage conditions. Formula determines skin texture pH、 Anti corrosion system, etc., require repeated sampling with factory engineers. Packaging materials should also be provided or confirmed, and the factory will conduct compatibility testing.
Fourth, prepare labels and claim materials. The label sample should include the product name, full ingredients, net content, expiration date, registrant information, production enterprise information, production license number, implementation standards, usage methods, and precautions. The efficacy claim should have a basis, such as moisturizing, soothing, etc., and a efficacy evaluation abstract or relevant literature should be prepared in accordance with regulations. Cannot write medical terminology or promise effectiveness.
Fifth, prepare for inspection and safety assessment. The registration of ordinary cosmetics usually requires product inspection reports and safety assessment reports. The inspection items depend on the product and may include microorganisms, heavy metals, physical and chemical indicators, etc. Security assessments must be completed by personnel with the necessary capabilities.
Sixth, sign a commissioned production agreement. Clearly define the ownership of the formula, order, price, quality responsibility, packaging material loss, delivery time, after-sales and recall responsibilities. The factory needs to have a cosmetics production license, which covers corresponding units such as skincare water. The brand should verify the factory's qualifications, workshop environment, quality system, and ability to cooperate with filing.
